Updating id3 tags

Stamp mp3 tag editor is designed to be easy and intuitive to use.

Just add the files you want to edit to the list, enter the new information, and then click the stamp button.

As soon as I navigated to a music folder it automatically started "correcting" files without asking permission nor telling me what corrections were being made. My music is generally in good order and I just wanted to edit a couple of tags, not change the whole collection without control. Blues, can you give me advice on best way to install Music Brainz? Add/Remove said it conflicted with another program and the other program would have to be removed.

Synaptic will work, but I decided to wait till I found out more about Music Brainz. To the original poster: I will also try easytag and puddletag...

In fact, it can be more frustrating if you discover that a number of the tracks are named incorrectly or don’t have a name at all or aren’t organized in their albums.
